Addressing Dual Diagnosis and Co‑Occurring Disorders

For many individuals, substance use does not occur in isolation; it often accompanies an underlying mental health condition. This is known as a dual diagnosis or co‑occurring disorder. Specialized mental health therapy in Newtown is essential for addressing these intertwined challenges, and at Rosewood Recovery, we are dedicated to providing integrated care that treats the whole person.

According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), approximately 7.7 million adults in the United States live with co‑occurring mental and substance use disorders. Treating only one condition without addressing the other can lead to poorer outcomes and higher relapse rates. Our dual diagnosis treatment in Bucks County combines evidence‑based clinical therapies with holistic and somatic approaches, ensuring both mental health symptoms and substance use are managed concurrently.

We offer a full continuum of care, including a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an intensive outpatient program (IOP) in Newtown, PA, as well as general outpatient services. Each program is structured to provide the appropriate level of support while allowing clients to practice coping skills in real‑world settings. Our integrated model aligns with SAMHSA's best‑practice guidelines, which recommend simultaneous treatment for co‑occurring disorders to promote long‑term recovery.

Recovery Begins Here with compassionate, comprehensive dual diagnosis care. We invite you to begin your journey towards happiness and freedom by reaching out to schedule a consult call. If you or a loved one is struggling, finding reliable mental health treatment near me is an important first step, and our team is ready to help. Results may vary based on individual patient factors and circumstances. We are committed to protecting your privacy; please review our Privacy Policy for more information.

FAQs

What age of clients do you serve?

We provide services to adults only.

Do you offer services for mental health treatment only? What about co-occurring?

Rosewood is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) so there needs to be a substance use diagnosis to be a client at this program. We are co-occurring capable meaning we do provide services to individuals who have substance use and mental health problems.

How do I know if a loved one or I need professional help?

Seeking help for addiction, whether for you or a loved one, is never easy. If your addiction makes it impossible to maintain your lifestyle and function at work or in social situations, it may be time to seek professional treatment.

What if I can’t afford the out-of-pocket costs?

We are committed to ensuring that cost will not be a barrier to those entering treatment and we will work with you or your loved one as best as we can. We offer sliding scale fees through our generous financial hardship program.

Will insurance cover my treatment? Which insurances do you accept?

Every insurance plan is different. Before committing to a program, we will verify your insurance and discuss any costs. Rosewood Recovery is currently in-network with Independence Blue Cross, Keystone Health Plan East, Geisinger, Allied Trades Assistance Program and TriCare East. We also accept out-of-network benefits and help ease the stress of a "super bill" by making claims on your behalf. While we do not accept Medicaid or Medicare, we are happy to discuss our sliding scale fees to make treatment affordable.

What can I expect during the admissions process?

A treatment professional will guide you through the admissions process to ensure that it will be as seamless as possible. For more information, check out our Admissions page.

Do you offer services for people in recovery looking for additional support?

Yes, we offer programs aimed at helping those in recovery transition back into daily life and maintain sobriety. Check out our Outpatient Program page for more information.
